Ndutu Safari Lodge
Ndutu Safari Lodge is located in the heart of Serengeti plains.The lodge is placed under a canopy of giant acacia trees overlooking lake Ndutu.
Ndutu Safari Lodge offers a superb base in which to explore the range of habitats that lie within easy reach, this include swamps, woodlands, soda lakes and the world famous Serengeti short grass plains. Ndutu Safari Lodge has been a favourite with professional wildlife photographers and film makers for the past four decades, because it’s simply one of the places to watch wildlife.
Accommodation and Meals
Ndutu Safari Lodge has 35 cottages built of local materials to make your stay African. extending the central,
open-sided bar, lounge and dining room. Each room has it’s own verandah that overlooks lake Ndutu.
Each room has it’s own verandah that overlooks Lake Ndutu. All rooms have en-suite facilities. The cottages are made from local materials and offer comfortable, tasteful accommodation.
Ten rooms have a double bed, and there are five triple rooms. We also have one family room, which can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children. All other rooms have 2 single beds. All the rooms are single storey and are accessible with a wheel chair.
The bar and restaurant area at Ndutu Safari Lodge has views over the Serengeti. A large, plain stone room, it has solid, functional, wooden furniture and is decorated with animal horns, which lend the atmosphere of an old hunting lodge. The bar’s thatched ceiling was previously supported by wooden beams, providing a climbing frame for resident genets.
Ndutu Safari Lodge is around a two-hour drive from the Ngorongoro Crater.
